Emergency Medical Technician Preparation

Open to 11 and 12th grade ONLY

California law requires all ambulance attendants to be trained and certified at the EMT level. EMT's are often used as the first dispatched medical providers within an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. EMT Preparation will be an introductory course for students who are interested in earning their EMT certificate. Students who wish to complete the EMT certificate for employment will need to attend a summer course to meet all  necessary requirements. The summer completion course is not mandatory.

Course Details

Tues/Thurs 4:30 - 6:30 pm

Somerset High School 

This course is a 10 unit semester course. Students are required to complete additional Google Classroom Assignments during the semester.
