Early Childhood Specialist Child Care Worker

Open to grades 9-12  

This class prepares students for working with young children in preschools and home settings. In this class, students learn about the developmental stages of children. In the preschool lab setting, students will apply teaching methods to help children to love to learn in a happy, structured environment. Students will complete on the job hours within a pre-school/childcare placement. Students will compete in education competition opportunities during the year. This course is UC a-g approved as a "g" course. (Skills USA)

Tues/Thurs 4:30 - 6:30 pm

This course is a 10 unit semester course. Students are required to complete additional Google Classroom Assignments during the semester.
