California Advancing Pathways for Students (CalAPS) is committed to delivering exceptional Career Technical Education that prepares students for success in college, trade school, or the workforce. Through hands-on training, interpersonal skill development, career portfolio building including résumés and job interview techniques, we prepare students to meet the demands of an evolving professional landscape

 

VISION STATEMENT 

CalAPS commits to aligning courses with the California Career Technical Education Model Curriculum Standards, Standards for Career Ready Practice, 21st Century Skills, and Pathway Standards, ensuring programs remain relevant, rigorous, and connected to local industry needs.

CalAPS commits to providing students with instructors who possess relevant industry expertise and to supporting teachers through ongoing professional development that enhances instructional quality and effectiveness.

CalAPS commits to fostering partnerships with local businesses, civic organizations, and higher education institutions to offer students meaningful career explorations, work experiences, and pathways to postsecondary education and/or employment.

CalAPS commits to preparing students with the technical, personal, and professional skills needed for success through hands-on learning, career counseling, and opportunities that reflect labor market trends, local needs, and student interests.
